a rio rancho man is dead after a high speed motorcycle crash it happened around 8 30 last night police say an officer noticed a motorcycle driving fast down 528 radioed nearby patrols and another officer spotted that same biker the officers were following the motorcyclist when they say he slammed into a jeep at 528 and ridgecrest officers say the motorcyclist was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead at the scene they believe he s in his 20 s from rio rancho the driver of the jeep was not hurt police are still investigating whether drugs or alcohol played a part
